UGC Profit Calculator
Track your break-even point based on official Roblox Marketplace fees.
One-time non-refundable fee for 3D assets.
Sales to Recoup Advance
After these sales, your 1500 advance is recouped.
How it works
Your advance is recouped from the 30% commission that normally goes to Roblox. This is called a rebate.
You receive your normal 70% share plus the 30% Roblox share on every sale until your initial advance is fully paid back.

How UGC Fees & Advances Work
The Publishing Advance
Based on official Roblox documentation, the Publishing Advance is a refundable deposit paid at the time of upload. This advance is recouped through a rebate of the 30% platform commission on each sale. Unlike the 750 Robux upload fee, which is non-refundable, this advance is returned to the creator.
UGC Publishing Strategy
Publishing 3D avatar items (UGC) involves a more complex fee structure than standard 2D clothing. As of 2026, creators must pay a Publishing Advance that varies by item type: a Body or Head requires a deposit of 2,500 Robux, while a Hat requires 1,500 Robux.
Fee vs. Advance: What's the difference?
It is vital to understand that the 750 Robux fee is a payment for moderation services and is gone forever. The Advance is more like a security bond; Roblox holds it to prevent marketplace spam, but you effectively "earn" it back by proving your item has market value through sales.
Recouping Strategy & Rebates
You earn your 30% creator commission as usual. Additionally, the 30% platform commission is given back to you as a rebate until the total advance is paid back. This calculator factorizes these advances, rebates, and the platform's share to estimate when your investment hits zero.
The "30% Rebate" Logic
It is a common misconception that 100% of the price pays off the advance. In reality, only the extra 30% (Roblox's usual fee) counts toward your refund. This is why a 1,500 Robux item with a 1,500 Robux advance requires multiple sales to break even.
