Understanding the DevEx Process
The Developer Exchange (DevEx) program is the bridge between your creativity and real-world earnings. While our calculator helps you estimate your payout, it is important to understand that Roblox reviews every request manually. This process ensures that all Robux were earned through legitimate gameplay, asset sales, or commissions, adhering to the Roblox Terms of Use. Navigating the 2026 Developer Exchange (DevEx) Program requires a solid understanding of how virtual currency translates to real-world value.
This program allows developers to cash out their earned Robux into real currency. Earned Robux are specifically funds generated through game sales, private servers, or commissions. By using our DevEx Calculator, you can track exactly how much your virtual balance is worth in USD, helping you plan your development budget and financial goals more effectively.
New: 18+ US Boost Rate ($0.0054)
Starting June 8, 2026, Roblox is introducing a massive initiative to reward games that appeal to an older audience. This results in a 42% increase in the DevEx rate for specific spendings. Instead of the standard rate, eligible Robux are worth $0.0054 per Robux ($0.54 per 100 Robux).
Key Eligibility Requirements:
- Target Audience: Spend must come from age-checked 18+ users residing in the United States.
- Eligible Spend: Includes Game Passes, Developer Products, Robux Subscriptions, and Private Servers.
- Exclusions: In-game avatar items and Marketplace items do not qualify for the higher rate.
- Technical Requirement: Games should use R15 avatars to qualify (for higher fidelity and realistic movement).

Standard Rate History: $0.0035 vs $0.0038
Since the update in September 2025, the standard DevEx rate remains at $0.0038 per earned Robux. This represented a significant 8.5 percent increase in earnings for developers compared to the legacy rate of $0.0035. This means that for every 100,000 earned Robux, you receive $380.00 USD.
Note: When you cash out, Roblox automatically applies your highest-value Robux (the 18+ US rate) first to maximize your earnings.
Taxation and Financial Compliance
Receiving payments through the DevEx program has tax implications. Roblox provides estimations, but final tax liability depends on your country.
